We’ve tried to cover the essentials throughout our website, but some questions deserve a quick answer of their own.

General questions

We have a separate Website for BLF.
Here you find all infos and tickets! The Schedule will also be published here.

Contact Hellen or Karin with your wish Size and we can reserve you a T-Shirt.

We usually have 3 classes going on:

Always. You decide what feels comfortable for your body. You can decline a dance, change partners or opt out of a movement at any time. Therefore, an explanation is not necessarily required, especially if someone crosses your boundaries. Nevertheless, let’s always try to be kind and respectful.

Getting started

Not at all. Our beginner classes are designed for people with no previous Lambada or partner dance experience. If you already dance Brazilian Zouk, Salsa or another partner dance, some things may feel familiar but you don’t need any of that to get started.

We have many options how you can start Lambada with us:

  • Our new 12-week Beginner Course starts on September 10, 2026. You will learn all foundations without any pre-knowlege, and you don’t need to come with a partner.
  • Train with our 27 Foundation Videos: We have all content from our Repertoire 1, Repertoire 2 Classes, and Technique / Concepts Class available online as Recap Videos! Send us a message on Instagram or Email to purchase access (150 € for 27 videos incl. 6 months of questions regarding the content / 100 € for regular students)
  • Take private classes with our Teachers Team to teach you the foundations, according to your individual progress! Currently, Hellen, Karin and Oliwia are available for private classes.

No. You’re very welcome to come on your own. We rotate partners during class, so you’ll get to dance with different people. Of course, if you come with someone and prefer to stay together, just let us know.

Absolutely. Experience in other partner dances can be helpful, but Lambada has its own technique, movement principles and musicality. Depending on your experience, we may still recommend starting with the fundamentals before moving into a higher-level class.

If you’re completely new to Lambada, start with our beginner level. For our higher levels, the right class depends less on how long you’ve been dancing and more on which Lambada fundamentals you’re already comfortable with. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask us.

“Practica” is dedicated practice time after class. You can repeat what you’ve learned, dance freely, socialize, experiment and ask questions. It’s not another formal class, but a space to turn new information into something that actually feels natural in your dancing.

No. But we definitely recommend it. Practising directly after class can make a big difference, especially when you’re learning something new.

No. You can learn as a leader, follower or explore both roles. Your role isn’t determined by your gender.

Wear something comfortable that allows you to move freely. There’s no dress code, and you don’t need special dancewear to join us. Comfortable shoes that allow you to turn easily are a good place to start. Avoid very sticky rubber soles if possible. You don’t need professional dance shoes for your first class.

As partner dancing can get quite close, we simply ask everyone to come fresh and be mindful of personal hygiene and strong scents (e.g. garlic).

The class language is English, with German translations as needed.
