Meet lovely people and dance Lambada in Berlin

Lambada is a social dance. And for us, the social part matters just as much as the dance itself.

Lambada Berlin is a place to learn, practice, meet people and grow together. You don’t need to know anyone before you walk through the door, and you don’t need a certain level to feel part of it. We want to build an inclusive community where people enjoy dancing together, support each other’s learning and contribute to the atmosphere around them.

Learn together

Classes build our foundation, while Practicas give us space to explore, repeat and grow together.

Dance together

Social dancing is where Lambada really comes alive. Different partners, different styles, different experiences.

Care for each other

A good dance floor depends on how we treat one another – with awareness, respect and consideration.

Be part of it

Our community is shaped by everyone joining classes or socials, welcoming new faces or sharing a dance.

Community beyond classes

Community doesn’t end when class is over. Practicas and socials are where we spend time together, meet new people and, of course, dance.

You’ll also find us at local events, weekenders and festivals in Berlin and beyond. If you’re new, just come along. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand.

Our Purpose

We want to strengthen Lambada as an inclusive and accessible social dance in Berlin and beyond, with solid technique at the heart of a comfortable dancing experience.

All teachers representing Lambada Berlin share this purpose and commit to our values and teaching principles through the Lambada Berlin methodology.

Community Values

  1. Keeping Lambada social
Lambada is, first and foremost, a social dance. We value its non-competitive and collaborative nature, with space for improvisation, connection and individual expression. Dancing with different partners, rotating in socials and exploring different forms of Lambada are all part of that (very encouraged: all forms of Lamba3, sharing partners, and rotation in socials).

  2. Learning at every level
Learning is an ongoing process. We encourage beginners to build strong foundations and respect the experience that comes with time and practice. More experienced dancers, in turn, are encouraged to approach dances with beginners with openness and to find value and enjoyment in dancing across levels.

  3. Growing together
We want Lambada to grow through mutual support rather than competition. This means supporting one another within the community and representing Lambada Berlin with a friendly and welcoming attitude – both in Berlin and wherever we meet the wider dance community.

  4. Importance of technique, comfort, and safety
Good technique should make dancing feel better for both partners. Comfort and control come before complexity: close embrace, head movements or advanced sequences should never be expected or enforced. Taking care of personal hygiene before classes and social dancing is part of taking care of each other, too.

  5. Appreciation of diversity: Welcoming different people & experiences
Our community brings together people of different ages, levels, genders and backgrounds, including dancers coming from other dance styles. We value these differences and want new dancers to feel welcome as they find their way into Lambada.
