12-Week Beginner Course: Your first steps into Lambada
You’ve never danced Lambada before? Perfect.
This course starts from zero and takes you through the foundations step by step.
Over 12 weeks, you’ll learn the basics of Lambada, get familiar with its movement and musicality, and build the skills you need to feel comfortable on the dance floor.
No previous Lambada experience and no partner needed. The course has already started but you can still register.

Goal
Learn all important Lambada Basics to enjoy a social or festival in 12 weeks.
We’re guiding you through Lambada rhythm, basic steps, leading & following, differences between Brazilian Zouk and Lambada, and you’ll also learn about the roots and evolution of Lambada as the mother of Brazilian Zouk. In general, you will get many insights about elements you can easily integrate in other styles, like Bachata or Brazilian Zouk. In our classes, we’re always focusing on the inclusiveness of Lambada as a social dance, so you’ll also learn how to dance with more than one partner, how we dance as “Lambada Roda” in a group and “switching games” of rotating partners.
Remember: Class ends, learning doesn’t.
Every Thursday, all groups come together for our Practica at 21:00. It’s your space to practise what you’ve learned, dance with different people and ask questions when something still feels unclear. For Beginner Course participants, all 12 Practica sessions are included.

Advanced Lambada Classes
You have been dancing Lambada regularly (weekly) for at least 8-12 months?
You know our Lambada Tool Box, the specific Lambada techniques we’re aiming for at Lambada Berlin, and you can apply at least 5 of them in your dance effortlessly?
You know the Repertoire of our “Survival Kit” Foundations course by heart, and can apply it at different socials?
You have been to some Lambada Festivals?
You know our community guidelines, and know how to get new dancers engaged with Lambada?
In this case, our Advanced Class is the right choice for you! Our admission-based class gives experienced dancers the best learning opportunity. We work in a small group of maximum 6 couples. Therefore, we can give personal feedback, and close mentorship for everybody’s individual progress. You have the opportunity to discuss your individual development or learning goals with Hellen in advance.
Examples that our students are working on: expanding repertoire / improving specific techniques / becoming a Lambada teacher / learning the other role / improving at Jack’n’Jill etc.
